A. Assist Your Organization

1. Performance Problem Analysis. With SPC you’ll receive more than just a report. Our analysis consists of four components.

Silber gathers data from your organization to define your company’s underlying performance problems.
We identify the core problems at the organization level. Our Performance Consultants examine the work process, and the relationship between work group/team and individual worker levels. SPC shows how these problems are related.
Next, we identify the key performance drivers that will provide the greatest leverage in moving the organization forward.
Finally, Silber pairs this analysis with our comprehensive, creative solution design approach.

 

2. Comprehensive, Creative Solution Design Approach. Receive practical, comprehensive and innovative solutions to the problems confronting your organization. The solutions recommended by Silber Performance Consulting meet four criteria.

Our solutions employ a systematic approach to solve problems throughout your entire system. Recommending a partial solution that corrects one problem, only to have another surface a month later elsewhere, is not practicable or beneficial to your organization.
Silber’s recommendations are customized. No two organizations or the solutions to their problems are the same. Utilizing our experience reduces the time and cost of design while maintaining our quality. But we do not recycle last week’s solution and label it with your name.
Our Performance Consultants provide "outside the box" solutions causing you look to at your organization an entirely new way. These are not cookie-cutter, boring, textbook remedies that you’ve already read about in journals and books.
SPC’s solutions, in addition to being theoretically sound, are practical. While all the remedies we design are based on sound theory and research, we do not recommend solutions that look good on paper, but will take many years and resources to implement.

3. Management of Solution Development.

Silber acts as a general contractor, assembling a team to develop the proper solutions for your areas of concern. 1. Skill Transfer to You.

It’s Silber’s belief you shouldn’t have to engage us forever. Working together, you’ll learn and assimilate our skills. If you choose, your organization will be able to do the analysis, design, management, development and evaluation of the solutions when faced with similar situations in the future. You’ll learn the skills through a specially designed combination of just-in-time experiences, theory sharing, coaching, action learning and feedback. Frequently, we’ll combine skill transfer with expert advice coaching or workshops.

 

2. Workshops.

Silber Performance Consulting provides hands-on workshops for individuals wanting more formal and in depth learning experiences, enabling them to conduct Performance Consulting, either for themselves or a work group. Our workshops have taught hundreds of people to be competent Performance Consultants. SPC workshops are skill-and-knowledge packed, practical, and job-focused. Our staff incorporates detailed case studies as the basis for explanation, demonstration and discussion of new skills and knowledge. Problems you face in your organization are actually used in the practice and feedback portion of the workshop. You leave with skills and with part of your project done.

 

3. Expert Advice on Call.

SPC is available to assist your "in house" Human Resources Manager, Trainer or Performance Consultant. When working on a project, it may be necessary to interact with an expert on a "as-needed" basis to obtain advice, exchange ideas, check one’s sanity, or receive coaching or feedback. The results of thirty years of Silber Performance Consulting's experience are now easily available. Contracts for periods of time can be established for consulting or coaching via phone and e-mail. The time is used as required. This method eliminates wasted travel time and costs, hourly minimums and quickly resolves many problems.
